SINCE OPENING IN 1928, family-owned BILTRITE Furniture-Leather-Mattresses has grown from
a store on Third and Garfield to Mitchell Street to their current 45,000-square-foot showroom
in Greenfield. “Customers come from the North Shore, Downtown, Lake Country, Kenosha and
more to shop locally,” says BILTRITE’s Randi K., a fourth-generation family member. “Whether
you’re looking for one item or want to furnish your entire home, we have the look and style you
want, we work within your budget, and we have thousands of items in-stock for quick delivery or
pick up.”
She says many customers have shopped with BILTRITE for decades. That loyalty comes from
the positive experience of shopping local, as well as the better quality furniture BILTRITE has,
including hard-to-find American-made furniture, small-scale, flip-able mattresses and more.
“Since we’re a family-owned business, we really have a passion for this,” Randi K. says. “Our
customers shop with us for years because of our quality and personal service.”
DESIGNER SPOTLIGHT
RANDI K. started working at
BILTRITE when she was just
a teenager, helping around the
Mitchell Street location. As the
great-granddaughter of BILTRITE’s
founder, Irwin Kerns, the family
business was always a part of her life.
She studied interior design at High
Point University in North Carolina
before returning to BILTRITE, where
she currently works alongside her
mother, father, brother, and sisterin-law. “I love meeting customers
who relay stories of how their parents
and grandparents shopped with
us over the years,” she says. “It’s a
testament of true loyalty.”
